TERMS & CONDITIONS
PPF & CERAMIC COATING DISCLAIMER
1. Surface Condition & Pre-Existing Defects
Austin Auto Finishes is not responsible for pre-existing defects, such as scratches, rock chips, swirl marks, oxidation, or other paint imperfections.
PPF and ceramic coatings may enhance or make existing flaws more noticeable.
We will always perform a visual inspection prior to service, but some imperfections may only become apparent after washing, polishing, or film application.
2. Paint Protection Film (PPF) Disclaimer
PPF is a protective layer designed to minimize damage from small debris, scratches, and UV exposure. It is not a guarantee against all damage (e.g., deep rock chips, impact dents, or accidents).
Minor lifting or edge imperfections may occur, especially around complex curves or tight areas; these do not constitute product failure.
PPF may have minor stretch marks, trapped dust, or slight texture variations in certain conditions—these are industry-accepted tolerances.
Some edges may remain visible, especially on partial installs (e.g., front bumper, hood, mirrors).
Austin Auto Finishes is not responsible for damage to aftermarket paint, repainted surfaces, or low-quality OEM finishes during the application or removal of PPF.
3. Ceramic Coating Disclaimer
Ceramic coatings create a durable, hydrophobic layer that enhances gloss and makes surfaces easier to clean. They do not make the vehicle scratch-proof, chip-proof, or maintenance-free.
Coating performance may be affected by how the vehicle is washed or maintained. Automated car washes, abrasive chemicals, or improper techniques can reduce coating longevity.
Regular hand washing and proper maintenance are required to ensure maximum performance.
Warranties on coatings are subject to periodic inspections and proof of proper care (e.g., hand washing, use of pH-neutral soaps, etc.).
4. Cure Time
Both PPF and ceramic coatings require curing time:
PPF: Avoid washing or disturbing the film for at least 7 days.
Ceramic Coating: Avoid washing for 5-7 days, and avoid chemical exposure for at least 14 days.
Any early exposure to moisture, harsh chemicals, or impact may interfere with product performance or appearance.
5. Warranty & Liability
Manufacturer warranties (if applicable) are subject to their terms and proper care. Austin Auto Finishes does not provide additional warranty beyond that offered by the product manufacturer unless specified in writing.
Austin Auto Finishes shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including but not limited to: paint failure, loss of vehicle use, or aesthetic dissatisfaction due to factors beyond our control.
Improper maintenance or third-party removal of PPF or ceramic coating voids any warranty.
6. Vehicle Pickup & Inspection
The customer agrees to inspect the vehicle upon pickup. Any concerns must be raised at the time of delivery. Once the vehicle leaves our premises, we are no longer responsible for its condition.
Minor imperfections or debris may exist and are considered within normal professional tolerances.
WINDOW TINTING
1. Rear Defroster & Electronic Components Disclaimer
Austin Auto Finishes is not responsible for any damage to the rear defroster lines, antennas, sensors, or other electronic components that may occur during the installation or removal of window film.
Removal of existing window tint can cause the defroster lines to become damaged or non-functional, especially if they are aged, deteriorated, or previously compromised.
The customer acknowledges this risk and waives any claim against Austin Auto Finishes in the event of such damage.
2. Glass and Window Condition
Pre-existing chips, cracks, scratches, or other flaws in the glass can be exacerbated during film application or removal. Austin Auto Finishes is not liable for any such pre-existing damage becoming more noticeable or worsened.
Aftermarket or previously tinted windows may affect the quality and outcome of new tint installation.
3. Film Curing & Bubbles
Window tint requires a curing period of up to 30 days, depending on weather conditions. During this time, bubbles, haziness, or a streaky appearance may occur and are considered normal.
Do not roll down tinted windows for at least 3-5 days post-installation to avoid film damage.
4. Warranty
Austin Auto Finishes uses high-quality film backed by a manufacturer’s warranty against peeling, bubbling, or discoloration.
Warranty does not cover physical damage, improper care, or misuse of the tinted surface.
Removal of the tint by any party other than Austin Auto Finishes voids any and all warranty coverage.
5. Legal Compliance
It is the vehicle owner’s responsibility to ensure that the selected tint complies with Texas state laws and local regulations.
Austin Auto Finishes assumes no liability for citations or legal consequences related to window tint darkness or reflectivity.
